Our agency is responsible for protecting, securing and providing competitive services to our residents. The mission of Alden Police Department is to protect the valuables of residents, secure resident neighborhoods, and provide courteous service to all.

Our family is constantly growing with local people who know and love the communities in which they serve. On June 1, 2024, the Alden County Sheriff's Office passed an amendment to require Deputies to live within Alden County in order to be eligible for employment. Less than two weeks later, our city passed an amendment requiring our officers to live in the City Of Alden.
